Their attackers did try to win the ball higher up the pitch but failed to recover possession of the ball.
It was a disappointing result for Rangers as they felt they should have won all three points but failed to capitalise on the chances they created. Motherwell were happy to take a point away at Rangers and are currently fourth in the table.
