Celtic have a lot to be thrilled about at the moment. The Hoops are coming off a fantastic season in which they won both the Premiership and the League Cup.

It was Ange Postecoglou’s debut season as manager of a top-tier European team, and the odds were stacked against them after finishing trophyless and 25 points behind the Rangers the previous season.

As a result, Celtic supporters have a lot to look forward to next season, including Champions League group stage action for the first time in years. But, at the same time, the club has its own set of challenges.

The most notable of these in recent years has been their struggle to retain their young players as clubs such as Liverpool, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and others came in and bought them!

The Bhoys have had a headache attempting to keep youthful talents, with Liam Morrison leaving for Bayern Munich and Ben Doak joining Liverpool earlier this summer.

Great teams are hunting for the next top talent in order to reduce their long-term transfer expenses.

When it comes to retaining their top young players, Celtic appears to be waging a losing battle at the moment. Ben Doak is a Celtic fan who made his first team debut this season, but it wasn’t enough to keep him at the club when Liverpool came knocking!

And it appears that another Celtic kid has piqued the interest of clubs all over Europe.

According to The Scottish Sun, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, and Leeds United are all interested in signing Rory Mahady.

The 15-year-old is one of Europe’s top goalkeeping talents, and as a result, there are other clubs interested in luring him away from Parkhead!

In recent years, when clubs from the south have set their sights on Celtic youth, they have more often than not been able to recruit them.

As a result, if Mahady were to leave Celtic in the near future to join a prominent team in Europe, it would not come as a huge surprise to many Hoops fans, even if it would be a disappointment.

It remains to be seen how events surrounding Mahady unfold. Celtic, on the other hand, have another highly rated young goalkeeper coming through their ranks right now in the form of Tobi Oluwayemi, who many believe has the potential to be a starter one day.
